Bear Hill Lodge is a seasonal, family-owned property featuring Cabin/Chalet/Bed & Breakfast accommodations within the townsite of beautiful Jasper National Park. We offer a fun, friendly and challenging atmosphere with excellent wages and benefits for committed team members. We provide subsidized, off-site staff accommodations for those who require it in a pleasant, secure staff house next to our property. Private or shared bedrooms are available. We are sometimes able to accommodate couples (when both partners work for us).

We actively encourage staff to get out and enjoy the many recreational opportunities which abound in Jasper National Park.
We pay well for motivated and committed staff members. Wages vary, of course, depending on position and responsibilities. However, by and large, we pay more than our competitors in Jasper.
Housekeeper
We are seeking housekeeping staff to fulfill a six-month contract from mid-April until mid-October.
No experience is necessary. This is a full-time position of 35 to 42 hours per week. Applicants should be in good physical condition as duties are moderately physically demanding, involving walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting.
We pay well for motivated and committed staff members. Transportation subsidies may be available for those traveling long distances to get to Jasper. Further details may be obtained by applying.
Duties include all aspects of room-cleaning to our standards, sorting, washing and folding linens, participating in our recycling program and light outdoor work including raking, picking up litter and weeding gardens,. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness in their own section of rooms with minimal supervision.

An established and highly successful hotel chain is currently seeking a Hotel General Manager for one of its properties in Jasper, Alberta.
As the Hotel General Manager you will establish yourself as an effective leader for the staff and overall management of the hotel property. Only Managers with the proven background to maximize RevPar, maintain an extremely clean and well maintained property, offer excellent guest services with a strong desire to provide leadership and to create a team atmosphere will be considered.
This position reports directly to the President. Those reporting to the Manager will be the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Accounts and Maintenance. You will be responsible for the management of hotel operations. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following activities:
- Work closely with current senior management to implement overall high performance standards and to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
- Responsibility for the recruitment, training and termination of all full-time and seasonal personnel as well as full adherence to provincial employment standards.
- Create and foster a positive working environment within all operation departments by promoting a participatory management style.
- To design and implement employee and management training procedures to ensure all employees are familiar and comfortable with company policies.
- Consult with senior management to prepare budget forecasts, P & L statements, oversee the management of debt collection initiatives, credit worthiness of new groups and ensure that recognized yield management practices are implemented and adhered to in order to maximize all potential sources of revenue streams.
- In consultation with senior management, develop and co-ordinate a comprehensive renovation and refurbishing plan while monitoring capital (expenditure) projects at the property level.
- Develop and foster positive business relationships within the local community in order to properly promote the hotel.
- Actively participate in marketing, promotional and public relations activities - which may require personal attendance to various functions, including evening, weekends and statutory holidays - undertaken on behalf of all hotel properties.
- Undertake all other duties as they may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Certificate/Diploma/Degree or equivalent education in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
Minimum 10 years hand-on experience as a General Manager
Works very closely with Front Desk, Reservations, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and Maintenance
Hands on experience in the use of various software and PMS systems with a strong track record in yield and cost management.
